Jacqueline has shared yoga with hundreds of young people from preschoolers to adolescents.
Formally an ESL teacher, she introduced yoga into her classroom as a way to engage focus and kinesthetic learning, reduce anxiety and foster her students’ overall well-being. Since then, she has spent more than 2000 hours bringing yoga to young people in many settings, including schools, community centers, hospitals and yoga studios. She is currently completing a PhD in Human Development, Learning, and Culture in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests include exploring the effects of yoga and other mindfulness-based programs on the health and well-being of young people and educators.
