Jacci Collins

Jacci is a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) and a registered teacher trainer (E-RYT 500).

Jacci’s yogic journey began in 2000 when she sought out Ashtanga Yoga as a supplementary form of training for her career as a professional dancer. She was amazed at the way yoga enabled her to balance her body’s strengths and weaknesses and manage the chronic injuries left by a lifetime of dance.

She has worked with a wide variety of groups from children with learning disabilities to seniors with dementia, as well as “at risk” youth and Special Olympics athletes. Jacci firmly believes that yoga is accessible to all bodies in every shape and form.

Jacci has been teaching yoga since 2003. In 2007, she began working with older adults through the medium of dance. The use of chairs and yoga postures became complimentary tools for connection with her students. She also teaches Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga throughout Vancouver, emphasizing a strong awareness of physicality along with self-acceptance and trust in the innate intelligence of the body.
