We know yoga helps us feel calmer and healthier in our own minds and bodies. But how can it help us in our intimate relationships? What about when we are angry with a loved one, dealing with a difficult breakup, or struggling with our own loneliness?
In this workshop, meet the Nityas, a set of Tantric goddesses that each preside over a specific moon phase. Each one also holds a lesson about desire, connection, and separation. Kameshwari, the Goddess of Loneliness, finds power on her own in the dark. Vajresvari, Goddess of Intoxication, encourages us to fully feel the everyday pleasure of our lives and relationships. Jvalamalini, The Garland of Fire, shows us how our anger can be the key to deepening intimacy. Together, the images and stories of these goddesses can help us show up honestly to who we are, cultivate a strong sense of self, and deepen our intimate relationships.
This workshop will include some conversation and storytelling, and then a gentle Flow practice with some optional journaling. This workshop is for any gender and every body–modifications will be given if needed for the practice. Pregnant people welcome. Please bring a journal!
