Build a toolbox of compassion and resilience to help befriend and soothe an anxious mind and body.

A movement-based practice exploring asana, breath, imagery, inquiry, meditation and more.

 Learn to create a safe space for yourself and explore how that creates safety for your students and clients.

Experience a yoga sequence designed to calm the mind and learn why it works.

Discover techniques to ground yourself and others to the peaceful present moment.

Become aware of “triggers” that may knock you off your center and experience how to bring yourself home.

Cultivate real self-compassion and feel how this can reduce shame, comparison and worry.

Reclaim your authentic voice and rest in the truth of your worth, become inspired to step into who you’re meant to be.

Receive restoration- gather techniques to renew your energy and passion for your work in the world.

Please bring a journal, pen, and a favourite childhood photo.

Unwinding Anxiety

One of the aims of yoga is to ease the suffering within our minds, and it offers many paths to come back to the truth of who you are: so much more than anxiety, worry and stress.

This workshop will explore how you can craft a personal practice to help you reclaim confidence and calm.

Explore a sequence of postures to help you ground your body and mind and you’ll learn why it works.

Learn to use your breath to regulate your nervous system and slow down a ceaseless inner dialogue.

Discover the truth about your thoughts, how to question them and how to choose self-compassion over self-doubt.

Experience techniques that cultivate kinder perspectives and trust.

Rediscover the part of you that isn’t afraid and learn to reclaim your once courageous heart.

Lisa Dumas

Lisa Dumas is an experienced yoga teacher, transformational coach and Yoga Therapist in training who overcame a long battle with disordered anxiety through the paths of yoga. Lisa teaches that attention to your breath and focus on your body can provide you with the calming and renewing experience of being fully alive to the present moment. She believes that your practice is an individual journey of self-discovery and intends to honour that by providing easy to follow alignment cues, possibilities for modifications and accessible, inspiring themes for the modern-day yogi to take with them off the mat and into life.
