Free Members Workshop – Tools to Cultivate a Daily Practice with Ashley Jestin

Living yoga is not just about what happens on the mat or in class. Whether it’s 5 min, 15 min, 50 min or beyond, establishing a personal daily practice can be a game changer. In fact, research has shown that daily meditation can [decrease stress hormones and increase feel good hormones]( https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/da.21964). It may also give you an overall sense of well-being: both mentally and physically.

Meditators also claim that it can help you find clarity, strength, and healing. Integrating a practice into your everyday routine might just be the shift that you need so you are able to live life as your most kind and most authentic self.

Come for an afternoon of exploration into developing your personal practice and carry home new inspiration and tools!

Ashley will share her own experience with daily practice and support your individual inquiry and questions.

This workshop will integrate a short physical practice and meditation to establish a connected, comfortable seat to help investigate:

  • Evidence-based reasons to meditate
  • What a personal daily practice looks like (and how it may be different for everyone)!
  • Practical and inspirational tools for overcoming common barriers to daily practice
  • A variety of different meditation techniques

Students of all experience levels are welcome!

Ashley Jestin

Ashley is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Registered instructor trained in Hatha, Power, Yin, Restorative, Pain Care and Prenatal Yoga. No matter the style she is teaching, she offers guided meditation queues throughout class and moments to pause, reflect, and reignite the breath. Ashley gives many options for students of all levels, ages, and body types in her classes. She strongly encourages students to personalize their practice and therefore she uses trauma-sensitive language to create a space where everyone can listen to their own body’s wisdom first and her suggestions second. Drawing from her Kinesiology background, Ashley’s classes are alignment oriented with an emphasis on strength, stability and injury prevention. Her flows are dynamically challenging yet grounded and simple. Her greatest passion is to create a space where students are able to take a break from their busy lives, heal, unwind, and connect to their body, mind and spirit.
