Your yoga retreat includes two daily yoga classes, group excursions to traditional villages, shops and historical sites, and lots of free time to soak up the Mediterranean sun and to swim at any of Kythira’s spectacular beaches.
You’ll be served a breakfast of local fresh fruit and coffee each morning before your yoga class, and we’ll enjoy three group dinners together at the island’s finest tavernas, accompanied by local musicians. Fall into the Greek rhythm of life! You will be staying in the small, picturesque fishing village of Avlemonas, located on the eastern side of the island. It is here that archaeologists have spent years searching for the Temple of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Your accommodations are a family run, boutique hotel that looks out onto the sea.
Kythira has a rugged, simple beauty and tourism here is still quite undeveloped. Kythira is a calm refuge that takes pride in its traditional way of life, and boasts some of the most astonishingly beautiful beaches in all of Greece. Your Greece Yoga Retreat Instructor
As director of Yoga teacher training at Semperviva, Gloria Latham is able to tailor the class to the needs of each individual group. Her training includes all styles of yoga. Classes at this yoga retreat may be strong and sweaty or gentle and relaxing.
She has a particular passion for a non traditional style of kundalini yoga that will have you dancing, sweating, laughing and singing. Do your yoga and find your bliss.
