March 16th : Pranayama Yoga Workshop with Cameron GilleyBreath is Life! A human being can survive 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only 3 minutes without breath. Truly, breath is life! But breath serves us in a much deeper way than mere survival. Breath is the conscious bridge between our mind and body, and crossing this bridge with intention can lead us to deep understanding and profound change.
Starts April 3rd : Kundalini Yoga IntensiveKundalini Yoga for Self Mastery and Teacher Development Dear Friends, we are honoured that Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, and Gurushabd from Golden Bridge Yoga, Los Angeles will be joining with Semperviva to teach a Kundalini Yoga Intensive. This is the first time that a program of this kind is being offered. We are offering it to honour the many students who are deeply interested in Kundalini yoga but are not prepared to participate in a 200 hour personal development/teacher training program at this time. This program is also ideal for graduates of 200 hour teacher training programs of all traditions who would like to begin teaching Kundalini yoga. The key components that differentiate Kundalini yoga from other styles of yoga will be addressed. You will have the opportunity to experience a Kundalini Sadhana, mantra, healing gong meditations, and countless yoga sets that will cleanse, detoxify, and strengthen you. The aim of all yoga is to raise your Kundalini energy, your true potential. Learn how to use this ancient technology to awaken to your destiny. Your life is waiting... SAT NAM You will receive a certificate of completion valid for 50 CEUs (continuing education credits recognized by the Yoga Alliance of North America).
April 11th-13th : Yin Yoga: Embodied Awareness with Sarah PowersSustaining our Inspiration on the Yogic Path Whether we are neophytes or the most dedicated practitioner, we all may experience plateaus, times when we may lack inspiration, or flounder in our practice. This workshop will include a balanced practice that encourages both vitality and insight. We will be moving through both a passive Yin practice of asana along with a flow (Yang) style, geared towards promoting an energized ease of being and clarity of mind for meditation. A guided and silent mindfulness meditation will follow the yoga sessions.
March 15th : Preparation for Childbirth: Couples Yoga Workshop with Janice ClarfieldThis workshop provides an opportunity for couples together to enhance awareness of and confidence in pregnancy, labour and birth. Through discussion, gentle postures, breath work, vocal toning, meditation, visualization and massage, couples will cultivate greater relaxation, understanding and enjoyment for childbearing. Calm and flexibility ease the birthing process, reducing pain and increasing the joy of giving birth.
