February 23rd : The Beauty of Imperfection with Peter Renner
Deep inside we hold an ideal picture of ourselves: how we should behave, look, feel, achieve, and become. We are surrounded by a self-improvement industry selling books, magazines, movies, courses, and guru-based solutions. We're told to be slimmer, sexier, cooler, more attractive, capable, virile, and so on. Even our spiritual side is not immune: could we not be more sensitive, open, caring, and conscious?
We'll use meditation, guided imagery, poetry, drawing and writing to bring humility, honesty, and compassion to our/self. No meditation or yoga experience is required!
February 23rd : The Asana Lab with Clara Roberts-Oss
There are groups of poses that require more explanation or time to investigate. In these three hour classes, we will discuss the alignment of each pose, and take the time to explore how these poses manifest in our bodies. We will begin each class with a vinyasa flow to warm the body, then move to the workshop aspect of the class. Questions and active participation are encouraged!
Back Bend Your Way to Bliss – Backbends
From Bow to King of the Pigeons and everything in between. We'll play with all backbends and explore our true arc. This is first of three workshops in the Asana Lab.
Starts April 3rd : Kundalini Yoga Intensive
Kundalini Yoga for Self Mastery and Teacher Development
Dear Friends, we are honoured that Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, and Gurushabd from Golden Bridge Yoga, Los Angeles will be joining with Semperviva to teach a Kundalini Yoga Intensive. This is the first time that a program of this kind is being offered. We are offering it to honour the many students who are deeply interested in Kundalini yoga but are not prepared to participate in a 200 hour personal development/teacher training program at this time. This program is also ideal for graduates of 200 hour teacher training programs of all traditions who would like to begin teaching Kundalini yoga.
The key components that differentiate Kundalini yoga from other styles of yoga will be addressed. You will have the opportunity to experience a Kundalini Sadhana, mantra, healing gong meditations, and countless yoga sets that will cleanse, detoxify, and strengthen you.
The aim of all yoga is to raise your Kundalini energy, your true potential. Learn how to use this ancient technology to awaken to your destiny. Your life is waiting...
