A Path with Heart - Peter Daishin Renner

A workshop in our series on Conscious Living & Dying with Peter Daishin Renner

During this workshop we'll heed the call of a Tibetan prayer, using silent meditation, guided imagery, simple drawing & writing exercises, and Buddhist tools on forgiveness and loving-kindness. Working mostly in silence, we'll identify some of the obstacles that "block" our path and deliberately use them to help soften our hearts of compassion towards self and others.

Essential Fatty Acids by Dr. Julie Bowman, ND

Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are fats that we require for a large number of processes throughout our bodies. They are called "essential" because we don't produce them on our own so we must get them from food or through supplementation.

To ensure you are getting adequate EFAs in your diet, eat plenty of fish (salmon, sardines, anchovies, and mackerel) and fresh ground flax seeds. Adding a high quality supplement to your diet is often a good idea to optimize your intake of these oils.
