Yogic Diet with Jai Sugrim

Jai Sugrim

Learn how to fuel the energetic and physical body through healthy choices

Join Jai Sugrim as he leads you on an exploration of a yogic approach to diet.

This workshop begins with an asana class that emphasizes twists, and binds to “fold into the self.” Jai’s sequence reflects the need for lightness.

The class continues with a breakdown of jump-throughs (lolasana) and inversions. Jai will share his personal journey of transformation of combining yoga with cutting edge nutritional science. The philosophy of diet will also be explored through the Yoga Sutras.

About Jai Sugrim

Jai Sugrim has recently moved to Vancouver, from N.Y.C. He is an 800 hr. Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher who has taught at The Downtown Jivamukti Yoga School, 5 days a week, over the past few years. He has spent hundreds and hundreds of hours studying directly at the feet of Today’s Living Masters of Yoga; Sharon Gannon and David Life, Dechen Thurman, Cassandra Rigney, and Eddie Stern.

He teaches an intelligently sequenced yoga class, set to music in a true Vinyasa format. Students are encouraged to do their best, and to practice daily, allowing time and patience for the advanced asanas to develop in their personal practice. Jai employs many precise and creative hands on adjustments in his teaching. His class is physically challenging and blends yogic philosophy throughout the entire sequence.
