The Power of Intention, on and Beyond the Mat
Saturday, November 5th, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Just as hydrogen and oxygen, depending on how they are mixed together, can produce either fire or water, asana practice and intention and breath depending on how they mixed together can produce either “just exercise” or can revolutionize our lives. This flowing workshop begins very gently and then builds momentum. At the apex of heat and breath we move directly into a special sequence of asanas, which bring the mind into stillness and the body into a new state of energy. This class is both challenging and very healing. All levels.
Life Force
Saturday, November 5th, 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Many ancient languages use the same word for breath and spirit. Breath penetrates, breath invigorates, and breath heals. In this special workshop we will integrate breathing exercises and gentle movement. The affect of these done in sequence can lead to profound release and calm. Other benefits may include emotional clarity and improved sleep. Once people have experienced the power of their own breath, they understand why it is called, Life Force. All levels.
- Do not eat at least two hours before practice and eat lightly.

- Breathing workshop is not advisable if pregnant.
Spiraling Inward
Sunday, November 6th, 12:30pm to 2:30pm
In this class we explore strengthening and healing the body, primarily with postures that internally rotate the hips. This is especially healing for the lower back and neck. Since every adjustment to the body also affects the mind, spiraling our energy inward also has a profound emotional effect, as it promotes self-inquiry and true core strength. Standing postures, twists, backbends, meditation. This workshop is appropriate for all levels.
There is No “App” for Happiness
Sunday, November 6th, 3:00pm to 5:00pm
From the Information Age to the Age of Wisdom
The industrial world is experiencing four simultaneous revolutions: high-tech, genetic engineering, nanotechnology, and biotech. All four fields are growing exponentialy, but what we are not having, tragically, is a happiness revolution, or, the daily experience of a meaningful life. There is no exponential growth there; in fact it is rapidly declining. Information technology, with all of its gifts, will not ultimately fulfill us; this is why we need to turn our attention to our internal technology and personal growth now more than ever. This seminar offers an inspiring talk by Max, followed by a concise course in essential internal technologies for transformation. Bring your yoga mat and writing materials.
