The Evil Eye on Olympia Jewellery

Just landed at Semperviva, we’re excited to introduce you to Olympia jewellery. This imported line contains uniquely hand-crafted pieces are made by a mother and daughter team in Greece. Only available on a few of the Greek islands, the Olympia line at Semperviva is a Vancouver exclusive!

These bracelets and rings, in an array of colours and styles are perfectly dainty on their own, or great for layering. Really big this season is the trend of piling different kinds of bracelets together.  The colourful beadwork and adjustable braided bracelets make for a great addition to any layered “arm party”.

Many of the Olympia pieces contain a charm that’s known to many cultures as the evil eye. Rich within Greek history, the evil eye dates back as far as 6th century BC. Seen frequently in modern day times on jewellery, the evil eye is actually just as relatable to us today. It serves as a reminder that too much fame, fortune, success, or praise can bring one’s downfall. We must all stay grounded.

With many stand-out pieces, this line is a personal favourite. Also worth mentioning is that the Olympia line ranges from just $15-$30 per piece! Talk about super affordable. Come check out the pieces for yourself at the Semperviva on West 4th. But hurry in, as they’re already a hot-ticket item within the store!

This imported line of jewelry is a real eye-catcher. The affordability of this line is almost too good to be true. I have currently seen eyes as a fashion theme across apparel and jewelry, however, its often used in a flashy campy way. The eyes in this Semperviva its are used beautifully.
