September’s Kundalini Mixtape

Summer might be slowly wrapping up for the year but things are just heating up at Semperviva. Gloria is back from her travels and I can’t wait to sweat it out on the mat to her particular musical styling’s.

This month’s playlist is a tribute to Kundalini favourites we all love hearing in class, some old-school treats and a nod to the beautiful Kundalini musical tradition. Above all I wanted tunes that made me feel uplifted!

A huge thank you to our amazing Kundalini teacher’s this summer – Lindsay, Penelope, Catherine and Rachel. Keep your eyes peeled for their names in the new Fall schedule, starting September 15th.

  • amAya – Always Be There
  • Steve Gold – Let Your Heart Be Known
  • Trevor Hall –  Om Shakti Om
  • Flo Rida – Good Feeling
  • The Darkness – I Believe in a Thing Called Love
  • Wilson Philips – Hold On
  • Spoon – I Saw the Light
  • Macy Gray – Beauty in the World
  • Krishna Das – My God is Real
  • Snatam Kaur – Long Time Sun

Parisa Roohipour loves Kundalini because there is always a guaranteed sing-a-long in every class. Nothing makes her happier! You can find her working behind the desk at Semperviva’s Sun and Sea studios and read her musings on creativity, music-making and life at www.lightinglittlefires.wordpress.com
