What don’t I love about yoga? I love the way my body feels after an asana practice. I like my state of mind when I arise from savasana. I love the kula (loving community of like minded souls) it’s given me. I like what it’s done for my life off the mat. I like that there are different styles so everyone can find what they need. I love yoga.
I teach yoga because
The best thing you can do for yourself and others is share your passion with them. This is my passion.
I’m inspired by
People who are living their dreams and are passionate about what they do, kindness, warm eyes, music, conversations I have with my fellow yoginis, my teachers, my students, the beautiful and ever changing Vancouver sky.
My favourite music to do yoga
Pretty much ALL kinds of music. From hip hop, to down tempo and everything in between. I heart music deeply.
Beautiful places I love to visit
Africa is the next place on my list.
What I like to do in my spare time
Watercolor, read, cook, dance, spend time with friends, look at art books, breathe.
My favourite quote
I have too many! Here’s the one I’m into at this exact moment…
I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke, 1903; in Letters to a Young Poet
