What I love about yoga:
Everything! Each time I step onto the mat I discover something new within and around myself. When I step off my mat I see the world from a different place, with softer eyes and a kinder heart.
I teach yoga because:
I love to share this practice that has made such a profound impact on my life. The expression “yoga is breath and breath is life”, equates, for me, to yoga is life!
I’m inspired by:
Life, love and laughter.
My favourite music to do yoga:
Eva Cassidy, Al Green, Ben Harper, Fat Freddy, Andrew Allan, Stacy Kent, Sting. And so many more….
Beautiful places I love to visit:
The ocean, any ocean. Blue ocean and blue sky connect me to the infinitely of life, the realization that we are one tiny part of the big picture, and the awareness of our interconnectedness. The ocean makes life feel very large and my “problems” like little sailboats, insignificantly bouncing around on the water.
What I like to do in my spare time:
Yoga- how crazy is that! After that- sports, any sport really but to name a few; tennis, cycling, skiing, trail running, swimming.
My favourite quotes:
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.” Helen Keller
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Leo Buscaglia
My favourite parable:
The wind was against them now, and Piglet’s ears streamed behind him like banners as he fought his way along, and it seemed hours before he got them into the shelter of the Hundred Acre Wood and they stood up straight again, to listen, a little nervously to the roaring of the gail among the tree tops.
“Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?”
“Supposing it didn’t” said Pooh after careful thought!” A.A Milne Winnie the Pooh
