From Dave Bates
Physical, emotional and mental health goals as well as the intention of becoming a greater part of the yoga community led Dave Bates’ to sign up for the Semperviva 40 Day Yoga Challenge. Dave kindly shares how he felt along the way with excerpts of his 40 day journal. Enjoy the read.
Excerpts from Dave’s journal:
Day 7: For the first time I am doing only Hatha yoga everyday. I think I am discovering yoga for the first time. It feels pretty good.
Day 11: I am finding that when I don’t want to go to a class, that I get the most out of it.
Day 18: Much like the Olympic buzz, I’m enjoying the 40 Day Challenge buzz, talking to people, sharing some laughs and making some friends along the way!
Day 22: I’ve lost 10 pounds since the last time I weighed myself in December, surpassing my goal of being 160 lbs by the end of January. Now, my goal is to see my abs again, which I haven’t seen in a couple years.
Day 32: I’m feeling really good about this experience. In fact, I’m already looking at my goal of completing a 40 Day Yoga Challenge in 2010 and wondering if there’s more on the menu.
